I bought this to add to my Charlize Theron collection. Sadly she has a very small role in this movie but that aside this is a very very good movie. This is pre- Sigourney Weaver Alien. Excellent story, excellent acting, and a very good ending that leaves room for a sequel for this movie, which I hope they make. Well worth the time and money!Read full review

Not quite the prequel we wanted, But for hardcore Sci Fi fans it is a must see.

Ridley Scott while an amazing director missed the mark on this. Originally intended as a prequel to Alien he later changed it to a separate movie and now wishes he had stuck to the Alien franchise. He made mention that the sequel to this will go back to the Alien Franchise.Read full review

Not a sci-fi fan but this movie is good

I wanted to see this movie since I liked the actors and the director of this movie. It seemed to be a good bet that it would be a good movie even if it is science fiction. Sci-fi is not my favorite type of movie...but this movie was good and interesting and held my attention. Surprisingly, it seemed to have a hidden, deeper meaning that made the movie even better. For a spaceship, Prometheus had everything it needed for its long voyage (almost like a hotel on wheels)

Finally got to see this.

I have been wanting to see this, and finally decided to buy it. Rentng it would have been just as expensive.
I have only seen the original Alien and that was many moons ago.
This looked interesting to me and it was. I am not going to lie, it made me pretty squeamish in a few scenes.
No gratuitous sex scenes, which was refreshing. Some language, but not too bad.
I liked this very much and would reccommend it for the sci fi aficionado.Read full review

Great Sci-Fi

For those that love the “Alien” movies, this is a “must have”! It is a prequel to all the others and explains the origin of the deadly alien creature. I thought “Prometheus” was a wonderful movie.
