Great value
A great little tool, magnitudes better than the cheaper "alternatives" currently available. Being a miniature item it obviously has an upper limit as to what it can cope with, but when used in its normal range of operations it cuts very well indeed. Recommended.Read full review...

Brass sheet cutting
I have been using the tool to cut brass sheet for model engineering
By using the correct blade and not overloading the motor it is a very useful tool

Proxxon KS230 saw
Very nice tool, does what it does perfectly/ It has some down sides however.
Depth of cut cannot be adjusted, so it won't cut grooves or dados, neither will it cut end grain mitres since the blade cannot be tilted. For what this unit costs, I would expect a little more versatility in this respect.
Spare parts and accessories are expensive and quite hard to get if you don't have access to the internet.
The machine cuts hardwoods quite well, and the blade stays sharp so long as you only cut wood.
I would recommend this product.Read full review...
