Big hole

Good for fine work. The hole in the table for the blade is too big , so I have to use a ply top with a smaller hole so I don't lose my
work down the hole ! That's why I only have
4 stars.

Proxxon DS230 Scroll saw

Not impressed for several reasons. Taking the blade out for blind cuts to insert it through a drilled hole is very fiddly - the bottom blade clamp has a locking collar that falls off easily if you loosen it a little too much. The saw struggles to cut 6mm MDF at a reasonable pace. I have several Proxxon machines that I am very happy with but this one won't be amongst them.

Excellent scroll saw for light work.

Really good scroll saw for light accurate work. Blade changing is involved but you do quickly get used to it. Only niggle is it does tend to vibrate at higher speeds, but as long as you firmly hold the workpiece it is fine.Read full review

It came quite quickly, but there are no instructions, and a panel is missing so if I use it it's going to spray sawdust everywhere!!
