Much better than the Battery Tenders IMO

This is the second Unit I have bought, first one for myself, and the second for my Father who owns a VW Touareg SUV, which very inconveniently has its battery under the Driver's Seat. (Fortunately does have Charging Lugs under the Hood though)

The unit I personally own I've had for about 3-1/2 years now, love how it works, and what it does. I've had absolutely no problems with mine, works in any weather, but I'd suggest shielding it from water, rains, and such. It is small enough that it can usually be positioned somewhere under the hood if parked outside, and the AC Cable routed out of the vehicle at the hood-fender seam.

I like that it comes with two types of Cables for connection to a Battery. Either Terminal Lugs for a more permanent attachment, or Color Coded Alligator Clips for quick temporary attachment to either Top or Side Posts. Added convenience is a fool proof 2-Prong Quick Connect Plug to attach these shorter harnesses to the Main Charger Unit.

No Switches, Dials, etc to complicate its use, hook up connections to Battery, plug in, and let it do its job. The lights will tell you condition, percentage of charge, and pulse desulfate the Battery. The time ittakes will be variable, upon the condition and amount of charge. Might take 20 or so minutes, and might need to remain hooked up for multiple hours, but it will get the job done.

No worries of frying a battery, these are not like the cheap run of the mill $30 trickle chargers which can often be of too high a voltage hitting your Battery as the amperage tapers down.

One will be surprised that even with a new Battery, that usually 100% of the time you will find them not to be fully 100% charged. That Alternators don't often charge a battery up to 100% charge.

I'm extremely pleased with these Chargers, cannot say enough good about them. They will pay for themselves with much longer Battery Life, and better insurance of not finding yourself stuck somewhere with a dead Battery

This is a money saver!

I bought this to use on my Harley. The battery that is in it is just under 3 years old and always on a battery tender. One day a couple of weeks ago my bike wouldn't turn over. I put a 2 amp charger on it for a couple of days. I used a digital battery load tester on it and it only had 230 CCA. This is a 400 CCA battery, I tried to start my bike and it wouldn't turn over fast enough to start. I purchased this charger, hooked it up to my bike, and after 2 hours, my bike fired right up. Just like it did when the battery was new. I put the load tester on it again and it read 440 CCA. So far I am very impressed with this charger. Maybe I will be able to get a couple of more years out of this battery.Read full review

extend battery life

I have 2 of these units. I have 19 batteries on my ranch. tractors, boat, atv, utv, cars, trucks, motorhome and many others. At the about 1/2 way through the batt's life I recondition it with this charger for 2 to 3 days in the winter when most batt's will fail. The pulsing technology extends the life of the battery by at least 2 years. I have had several last longer. That translates to 38 years more use out of my batt's before I have to buy new ones. I usually buy one year marine deep cycle or 3 year automotive batts. For example, Atv batts are one year, but I get an easy 3 out of them. Yes, this is a great product. I've sold 2 of these to my friends and they have had the same results.Read full review

This thing works.

My daughter's battery was 3 years old when she began having issues starting her Accord. I didn't bother taking it in for a warranty since it was going to be pro-rated anyway.

I put the battery in my Camaro and to nobody's surprise it would not start the car.

I put it on the Xtreme charger and about a day and a half later the display said the battery was fully charged.

Stuck the battery in my Camaro and it started right up. I've left the battery in the Camaro and haven't had an issue since.

Oh....and on a battery I pulled out of my motorcycle, after a full day it said the battery was bad. Oh well, you can't save them all.

For now does everything as described

Purchased this because I have a car I don't drive everyday maybe once a week/every other week and something draws power so my battery would be dead quite often. I do have a battery charger but in order for the battery to hold charge for a long time I'd have to charge it slow which takes 24 hours usually. With this I can keep it on all the time and be ready to start my car whenever I need to use it. Hooked it up today and battery was at 50% now it's at 100% and it's in pulse mode. Just started using it today and for now it seems to be doing what it's suppose to. Used the attachment that you permanently connect to your battery so I could close my hood while it's on but it also comes with the clamps. But like I said for now it's a great product I would recommend itRead full review

Time Machine

This is the best way to recharge a Battery! Not only will it recharge the battery, it knocks off the Sulfation on the charge plates that robs batteries of their longevity! Buys your battery extra time. Rejuvenates SOME older useless batteries too. As long as they do not have interior deficiencies.Read full review

First-time User--With High Expectations!

I've heard about pulsing desulfators, but usually for tow motor batteries not for smaller batteries. So, I'm curious as to how this is going to work. I also bought one of the Quad-Link output multipliers. I'm charging two AGM RV batteries in parallel on one Quad-Link output, and the two flooded batteries in my diesel two vehicle on another Quad-Link output (this after calling their Tech Support to confirm this would be an acceptable configuration). I won't know until next spring... Here's hoping!!!Read full review

I now have two Xtreme Chargers

Purchased my first Xtreme Charger 22 years ago and it still works like new. I have 9 batteries for 7 different vehicles. The 22 year old Extreme Charger has run nearly 80% of it's life, night and day without any problems! My batteries last an average of 10 years plus. The pulse feature really works to clean the metal bars from sulfate and greatly extends the life of my batteries. I purchase 2 more Extreme Chargers about two weeks ago. I wanted to charge two batteries at a time in different locations of my garage. I gave one of the new ones to my Son. They are not quick chargers, they are battery maintainers! Read full review

Works Great

Charged 3 batteries so far. It is not a speedy charge but it does charge to the fullest. Works great for what I needed. Charged battery on my RV generator battery and its house battery.
