Pure Evoke 3 DAB, AM/FM Radio

Excellent high quaility radio

This is the first radio I have had with a remote control. I have it connected to my HiFi system via the line out so I do not know what it's own speakers are like. I fine the quality is excellent (depending on the DAB source). I find it easy to select the preset DAB and FM channels and mp3 playback if required. The text on the screen is a bit small and you have to go close to read it, I would have preferred a larger scrolling text. The "ReVu" function is great and I have used it to go back and listen again. When in standby mode it gives a nice big clock display.Read full review

It was completely unusable. The description of it's condition was a complete lie. I had owned an Evoke 3 for over 10 years from new which was absolutely brilliant in terms of sound quality , ease of use and reception. The record facility was great. Excellent radio with good features

Good product and works very well with excellent sound quality. The only slight complaint is the display light seems to be quite dim but otherwise very pleased with it

Top quality!

We now have 2 of these radios, one is a recent purchase but the other one we have had for five years or more. It is on all day every day, then the alarm is set at night. It has never missed a beat.>
Not sure why, but the new one sits in the same spot as a £300 Sony system used to (it gave up the ghost after 6 years) and we never used to get DAB on the Sony, but this one gets a perfect signal.

The SD card recording system works well and playback of MP3 tracks from the card is also very good with the tracks shown on screen.

Sound quality is excellent and it goes surprisingly loud if required.

The Pure Evoke 3

I have now had 3 of these and have been hugely impressed with the quality of this product. The main appeal to me is the facility to record radio programmes and be able to listen to them at leisure. I know this is probably old hat by now, what with iplayer BBC radio player but I still find it useful to be able to record when and as and also to be able to record portions of a programme - especially with the rewind facility. You can of course record/download your music onto an sd card and play it through the Evoke. For the older generation I would thoroughly recommend this product.
