Average Sound Quality for a Sealed-Back Midrange Driver

For the price of this driver I wasn't expecting high fidelity performance, and it wasn't. This driver exhibits a broad response dip right in the frequency range where the fundamental tones of voices and instruments lie, ie the mid-midrange frequencies that are so critical to accurate response. This is not unusual for sealed back 5 inch midrange drivers that often exhibit a sunken or recessed sound quality. These are of good quality for MidRanges sealed back's, personally i prefer the plastic sealed case that gets silconed too the back of the midranges like the speakerlab midranges. But, these are good also...
