excellent price vs quality but not perfect out of the box

You can buy these at £22 each and spend 15 minutes cleaning off the rough edges and ensuring they fit your toolpost snugly (just using a stone) - or you spend £75 each and presumably get a more perfect product. For me, the choice is obvious. I don't understand why people make a direct comparison with genuine Dickson holders and then complain that these rdg ones aren't immediately perfect.Read full review...

Excellent quality, bargain price!

After reading some of the other reviews i was a bit dubious about buying one with some people say about quality issues, but i was pleasantly surprised when it arrived, very well packed, well coated in rust inhibiter, i checked every single thread - perfect! then i check the fit to the tool post - perfect again! I have a few dickson original tool holders and the aftermarket one is pretty much identical in terms of quality, no sharp/rough edges etc, an absolute bargain! I will be buying more.Read full review...

Works exactly as it should

I've noticed a few remarks about these third-party holders being of inferior quality and not fitting nicely. My experience with this product is quite the reverse - it slid straight onto the tool post and clamped up tight right out of the box - the adjuster worked fine, all the threads were fine. Is it exactly the same quality as an original? - no, but then it's a third the price and frankly an original is not going to perform any better, however much the surface is polished. So if you're wondering if this product is fit for purpose - it absolutely is.Read full review...

Great holders

These holders are not perfect straight out of the plastic but a stone of the odd sharp edge and on some, run a tap through the clamping stud holes to free off and they are good to go puf if this way - i bought 1 to try and i now own 10 - steel seems good quality and no issues with toolpost fitRead full review...
