Excellent small town, young couple marriage and the ups and downs of same.

Part 2 of a trilogy written by John Updike outlining the story of a young man and his wife in the 1950's. I am re-reading it as I enjoyed it so much when I was younger. Updike is an exceptionally fine writer.
As you may recall, he wrote The Witches of Eastwick, which in turn became a major motion picture
starring Cher and Jack Nicholson.
The couple in this book suffers through the trial by fire a young marriage in a small town is during this time period, and probably universally. Updike is particularly good at getting into his character's head. I think you will like it.
