Weekday is Seger's problem with this album???

Why won't he let them master be released for a re-mastered print with modern technology???

This is such a good album and yet he seems to regret it.

Maybe he prefers his more mainstream, watered-down, middle America sounds of the 80's...

An essential addition to any Seger collection.

Seger's first LP is a bit dated, but still tops later efforts. Aside from the big hit 'Ramblin' Gamblin' Man', this release features a few other excellent tunes, including 'Tales of Lucy Blue' and the stirring anti-war song '2 + 2 = ?'.

Many are unfamiliar with Seger's material before 'Night Moves' and the many successful albums released afterwards. To me, this signaled the beginning of his corporate rock phase; while financially rewarding for Seger, he no longer exhibited the same youthful swagger and energy of his early works. For those interested in the real McCoy, try to get your hands on 'Mongrel', 'Back in '72' (never released domestically) and 'Seven'. Bob Seger System / Ramblin Gamblin / Tales of Lucy Blue

I was in tenth grade Drafting class when I first heard this.
My albums have been packed who knows where.
So when I saw this on CD it became a quest to have a copy.
My first week with it in my Chevy Bose system was cranked.
And the second week...
(Except the first cut, heard that a thousand times.)

seger's best

This album is by far Seger's best. Most of the tracks like Ramblin Gamblin Man, Tales of Lucy Blue, Down Home, Train man, and White Wall are really badass and showcase his talent as a rock musician. Downside is that a few of the songs are kinda awkward and seem out of place. Overall definetely worth a listen, any Bob fan would like it!!!Read full review...
