Excellent cross shredder

Really like this one. I bought it for home as we have one at work (I work in a very small office!)

The features I like compared to my previous shredder(which jammed!):

Front drawer for emptying (so much less mess than removing the top!)

Multiple sheets feeder. (Just put a stack I. The top part and it carries on.)

Quieter than my last model.

Can recommend.

OK but that's it

Tidy compact unit but overheats quickly (similarly to an old 50 quid manual shredder I had) and the top single feed slot is a fiddly to get right unless you're doing a full A4 sheet - e.g. bank cards have to be positioned pretty exactly to get pulled in. Not had chance to properly test the autofeed but I don't think it'd do a single load of 60 sheets without at least one cooldown period. Is also surprisingly slow. If you're an infrequent shredder of things (a pile of stuff 2x a year, say) I'd say get a cheaper manual unit. For more frequent shredding this wouldn't really fit the bill.

For just a little more money I suspect there's much better autofeed units around than this.

Rexel autoplus x60 shredder

Product helps with speeding up the shredding and would suit small businesses with document destruction. Only grip, is that it always overheats after running 60 or so pages, and takes about 15 minutes to cool down. Might not be any use for anyone who needs to shred thousands of pagesRead full review...

I bought this for home office use as I do go through quite a bit of paper that contains data protected information that needs shredded and not just as rubbish.
I liked the idea of an automatic feeder so I could fill, fire and forget but it simply isn't the case.
I have found the pages need to be perfectly loaded or they don't get picked up. If you have any pages that have been folded.... such as posted letters, they often don't get picked up. It often won't pick up
The pages anyway for what ever reason it wants. It doesn't take too long to overheat and then needs time to cool down before restarting.
The catch try underneath fills very quickly and it is God awfully slow anyway. In my experience it takes most shredders 2-3 seconds to shred a page.... a bit longer for multiple pages but this has to be 8-10 seconds per page..... which is ok if the fire and forget works..... but mostly doesn't.
Sturdy enough build and nicely compact for squeezing into a corner but quite frankly fit the mo e.g. Paid..... or even an extra tenner you could get yourself a decent machine with less bother all round that's quicker and more time efficient..... and most definitely less frustrating.

Good for low scale shredding

Good product for Home/office. However, seems to get overheated very quickly. I think processing 60 sheets at a time I s a rather ambitious estimation by the manufacturer. 20 is more realistic. I’ve a lot if shredding following change in practice with the GDPR regs. The machine has overheated after each batch - can not cope with continuous shredding. But soon eights itself. So this machine is definetly for the smaller jobs.Read full review...

Useless shredder.

This product is by no means heavy duty, commercial or industrial. you can buy one of these for half this cost elsewhere. It shreds the first few sheets eventually then you have to wait for a long time for it to cool down. 60 sheets in one not a chance.Read full review...

Very convenient, just shreds while you carry on doing stuff

Why arent more companies doing these type of shredders? This is my second one, the first i bought second hand and stopped working when the rubbers wore through so i bought another one without hesitation. Just shreds paper without having to be constantly fed.Read full review...

Rexel +60X shredder

This shredder is a little bulkier than most, but this makes it easier to use.
2 types of feed, conventional manual feed and an auto feeder for up to 60 sheets at a time.An easy empty large paper bin, and the best bit of all is it makes much less noise than most shredders. Only slight criticism is that I would have preferred a finer cut.Read full review...

Shredder

I bought this as it said it is heavy duty.

I was running a small shredder in the office but it was forever over heating and cutting out.

I was expecting this one to be much better but will only shred between 20 and 30 sheets before it shuts down over on over heat for a couple of mins.

Generally it looks and feels the part it just the hassle and lost time when it cant shred while on over heat. It is sold as being able to shred up to 80 sheets at a time.

The container size is great, the shred it fine just the performance is poor.

Forget it !

Looks good but that's about it. Capacity of waste bin too small. Can't cope with large volume, only runs for 4min then shuts down for 40min. Gone back to using my old £30 shredder as far out performs this load of rubbish. An expensive mistakeRead full review...
