Rick's CDI brought my Honda 600 back to life

This CDI Module fixed my non-starting problem with my 1983 Honda XL600R. My original module was still creating a spark but the bike stopped running with the original CDI and didn't start until I installed this Rick's HOT SHOT CDI. I did have to convert the connection to use the two-part plug for the '85-'87 model of my XL600, but I already had these plugs in stock and so it was just a matter of figuring out what wire went where and soldering in the new plug. Such information is readily available for sorting out the wires. I can't really tell if there is any more power, but it is easier to START now than it was back when the original CDI was still working. It even starts with ONE kick, now and then, at around 45F, but usually takes about 3 kicks when cold where before when the original CDI was working it could take more like 6 kicks to get it going when below 50F. I haven't put many miles on this CDI yet and so hope it lasts as long as the original, which was around 40 years. Read full review...

Awesome CDI

This is a great CDI for the price! I put this on my xl600r to replace a stock, failing CDI. I fixed my weak spark issue and made the bike run much cleaner. I can't say that I feel a increase in power, but my bikes power band is smoother and cleaner. I would highly recommend, it is a great CDI for the price!Read full review...
