Small and perfectly formed
While many may baulk at a fixed focal length compact that retails well in excess of £500 its core market is certainly not aimed at the casual user even though it is easy to use. No, this is aimed squarely at the photographer who chooses to think about how to make a shot work. The view is wide so it concentrates the mind in viewing the world through a photographers eye. The rewards are without doubt well handled and detailed with a low light capability that is impeccable by way of that f1.9 lens. Auto bracketing is a plus as well as raw output for those wishing to glean every last ounce of detail from the sensor by way of post processing in say Lightroom. The pop up flash is a useful addition for a little fill-in when required. A full range of auto and manual functions are displayed on the lcd screen which also has a handy spirit level graphic in both camera orientations.
A highly capable compact camera for the serious amateur that produces superb results. Expensive yes, but Ricoh have delivered a little beauty.Read full review...

Brilliant camera, a find on ebay
I bought this camera as it was recommended to me and I looked at the cost of the GR Digital IV and it was over £450 so I looked on ebay for one and found this III version. I like it a lot as it takes such good quality pictures. What I don't like about it is it is far more complicated that I can cope with and so I don't think I will ever get the best from it. I will spend some time this summer trying to understand it.
It is very much better than other compact cameras.Read full review...
Good value for money
Small, light, good reproduction, all available adjustments as on a dslr. Can record in raw.
