Great addition to home security

Great to be able to see who's at my front door without moving from my couch. Brilliant quality pictures with record feature. Would recommend this to anyone. A word of caution, it says it's a direct replacement for the spy hole, but mine was only 10 mm so I had to enlarge it to 13 mm to fit this camera/doorbell. Something to bear in mind if you are not a DIYer. But don't let that put you off as it's a great addition to your home security.Read full review

Best choice for doors with peepholes

I have no idea why this model has been discontinued as in my opinion it was the best one. They are sometimes available here on eBay which was fortunate for me.
The doorbell at the front of the door is secured through the peephole which attaches to the battery compartment inside the door. Very neat and takes just a few minutes to do. No tools involved except for the tool included with it which unscrews the peephole from the door so you can fit the doorbell in it’s place. If you're looking then you know what this is. Video quality is fine, and really useful to have it connected through the Echo Show - "Alexa show me the friont door" and you'll see a live stream.
Also detects door knocks as well as people in view.
Has a peephole built in, so be prepared to drill the door with a 12mm drill bit (if you don't have a peephole), which took all of 2 mins.
5 hours to charge the battery is quitye substantial, but onmce done it seems to last well.
Worth paying the £25 a year live monitoring, as this also records all the clips.Read full review
