Rock Star

I saw this movie on tv once and I knew I had to buy it on DVD! The cast is great Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anistan put on their best performances yet. The film is based on a guy (Mark Wahlberg) who loves a band so much he ends up joining the band but believe me he never would have thought he'd get the chance, but through easy times and hard times his girlfriend (Jennifer Anistan) was always there and on top of a true kicking rock movie it is also love filled. I personally reccomend this film to anybody. Trust me you won't be dissapointed.Read full review...

Rock Star (DVD 2002)

Great story of a singer of a tribute band who becomes the singer in the real band after the original singer quits. This is loosely based on the Judas Priest story.Great performance from Mark Whalberg in the lead role and also from Jennifer Anniston and Timothy Spall(always great) in support roles.Great music and a good entertaining film.Read full review...

Rock Star

I didn't know what to expect with this film, I thought it was going to be a spoof, maybe a modern day 'Spinal Tap' or an out and out cheese-fest that was way to hard to believe. But I was suprised, Jennifer Aniston and Mark Wahlberg put in good performances and, yes, that word again, believable performances.

It's the story of a wannabe (80's) rockstar who actually got to be when he replace his idol to front his favourite rock band; whose songs he covers in his own 'tribute band'. Along the way, of course, he faced with decisions who he is and who he has become -- all along the way with a humorous undertone.

A thoroughly enjoybale film with some good performances, but if that doesn't tickle you fancy, Jennifer Aniston looks hot, as always, in it. . .

Rock Star - ace

I bought this dvd for my daughter. I already owned it and she borrowed it off me and watched it over and over, till i almost had to force her to give it back. Its pure fantasy, we would all like to be our favourite celebrity for awhile, but its a case of be careful what you wish for!!! Theres some great rock music in the film. Jennifer Aniston plays the long-suffering girlfriend. Its a great film, not to be missed, especially if you are into rock.
I have since bought my daughter her own copy!

My first review! Rock Star

Film was enjoyable with some terrible "rock" wigs!!!

Good human story about the frailties and strengths of the human character.

Easy and enjoyable to watch - no frills entertainment and you didn't have to be einstein to follow the plotRead full review...

Acquired Taste

The whole Rock n Roll Rockstar thing hasnt been done like this very much, and some of the actors are pretty good. Its just the screenplay is a little tongue in cheek, and the majority of the film is typically cheesy. Worth a watch, but for a proper film of this nature, get Almost Famous.Read full review...

Great buy for cheap price!

Great film for all avid music fans, band virtuosos alike.
Funny, heart warming and sad.

Really captures that 80's 90's early glam and grunge scene!
