Different design but probably better than the original.

These brushes are different as the actual brushes are only half the length of the originals.
That being so it doesn't matter as the brushes never wear down enough to cause a problem.
It is quite a fiddle to install them as one has to remove both end bolts and remove the old brush then install the new ones 51 times.Read full review...

Not at all like the originals

Fitted them to a Westwood S1300. In tightening the nuts on fitting i caught the brushes. They are very easily damaged. The old ones could be bend 180 degrees and still return straight but these would break at 90 degrees. After one use they bent all over the place. Should last a dozen times only!!!

a good cheap alternative to the originals

Plastic brushes seem to do the job so far, having adjusted the sweeper height appropriately with the brushes just touching the ground they work well and so far haven't shown any signs of wear. The only problem I had in installing them was that I decided to replace the sweeper bearings which were a a real problem to get out!Read full review...

Long verses short.

There are 2 designs of sweeper brushes. With the 1st design the fingers travel the full length of the brush. With the 2nd design the fingers travel less than half the length. Having used both types I have found the 2nd design to be superior. The longer fingers have a tendency to become entangled and can frequently break off altogether.Read full review...
