Roku Ultra Rocks - Excellent A/V - Fast Easy setup
This is my 3rd Roku device, 2 Roku Ultra's and 1 Roku TV, the setup was a breeze and really not a pain as others state. This unit works excellent, is much faster, no lag and sync is purrfect! Picture quality and audio is excellent! Best part of the whole deal was calling the cable company for disconnect. With this unit I get everything that was on cable, including local news for half the cost and can use it on 6 TV's w/o the expense of paying for additional cable boxes!
The remote is awesome - controls TV on/off and volume so you can put away all your other remotes. The headset feature works really nice! Voice search seems to work well although haven't used it that much yet. Another great feature is finding the remote if lost. Just push the button on the Roku device and the remote starts talking!
I have a 20Mbps DSL connection and streaming to 3 sets a once with no issues! There is no buffering on any set. I would recommend this unit to anyone who was interested. The Roku Ulta rocks. it's better than nothing
On the plus side: You can watch free youtube videos on any TV with an HDMI plug. It discovered my WIFI network and my TV features.
On the minus side, you have to give Roku access to your credit card or paypal account before you can log on at all (instructions online for how to do it with no credit card apparently no longer work). You have to watch a lot of ads. Typing a search is painfully slow (multiple clicks to enter each letter). I tried the Android Roku app to get better text entry, but it still makes me use the arrow keys to find each letter. The voice search feature doesn't work.Read full review

Best Roku Ever!
This is my second Roku. Although my old Roku experienced some difficulty staying connected to my home WiFi, this new and improved version has not had a single issue!! It would have been nice if they had provided a back lit remote so that you could see the remote buttons in the dark. But.... the volume buttons on the side of the remote, the headphone feature and voice command are very nice upgrades that I use frequently. I was sceptical about the headphones but sound quality is good!! This is winner!!! Will buy another soon.Read full review

Big step up from the Roku 2. Didn't like the set up but got thru it. The streaming is much higher quality even when not watching 4K movies or shows. Speed for everything is much faster also. Roku for us is best of breed!
We have Apple TV, got (and got rid of) a Fire Stick and now have 2 Roku's, one upstairs and one down. Our other Roku is a Premiere+. The Ultra is excellent as well. Best remote of all of them by far! The headphone jack is a big plus even if you use an external sound source as we do normally (easy to switch outputs in TV settings). Definitely recommend.Read full review

Easy setup and to use
The new Roku Ultra 4K is easy to setup, not much of new learning the remote and its functions and was able to use it right away. Linked the on/off for TV, Receiver and the volume. I like it so far, quite fast and no more programs buffering - due to improved WiFi connection and memory. A Little Too Intrusive
I ordered the Roku Ultra to use with Hulu (with Live TV). The unit was packed very well, is atttractive, and was very easy to set up. However, I was very disappointed to discover that the setup required me to initiate a Roku account, which further required me to provide a credit card, to make it easier for me to purchase paid services. My privacy is extremely important to me, and given the numerous system hacks that have released so much private consumer info, I was reluctant to provide this info. However, I did, and subsequently signed up for Hulu - more privacy concerns.
The bottom line is that I found that it was too difficult to navigate between "channels" and services, there was not a lot of navigational consistency among the channels, and I was never sure that the unit was turned off and not sending info about my viewing habits back to Roku/Hulu. Also, keep in mind that the voice control on the remote sends your speech to the internet for interpretation and action. One can never be sure that your conversations are fully private when a voice activated controller is present. I closed both of my accounts, and disconnected the unit.Read full review

Ultra's ethernet capabality is the way to go.
I was using the Roku streaming stick in my bedroom, which is on the opposite end of my home from the Internet modem/router. I would constantly get buffering despite the fact that I had a wifi extender to support the extension of wifi signal. I purchased the Ultra because it has ethernet capability, and I have ethernet access in my bedroom from the router/modem. Excellent wireless connection
I bought this for an area far from the router. The older model couldn't pick up signals. This new one 4660RW had no problem connecting. It is fast and easy to set up and use. I have been using it now for a couple of weeks with no connective problems. Zero glitches and super fast responses.

Roku Rocks!
Best/easiest way to cut the cable/satellite cord and those outrageous bills! Have had Roku's since Roku 2, or the last 3+ yrs. Works great with high speed internet. Seems the kinks have been worked out as buffering is a thing of the past. Easy to set up and use right away. Buy it, you own it and it will give you years of streaming savings over cable/satellite robbers. We added DirecTV Now and it's working well on our Roku 3 & Ultra. You can use the $$ saved to improve your internet connection speed if need be, for ideal streaming. We watched older movies the past 2 nights on youtube without the slightest hiccup.
