Nice bit of kit!

Have bought other pin push tools in the past which haven't impressed. Either the barrel is too big or it's made of plastic and isn't up to the job.
I wasn't expecting much from this Proops tool but with quite a few short vaneer pins to be used to finish a certain job I was well impressed. Straight in and flush everytime with no bruising to my fingers! My only advice is don't skimp on the quality of panel/veneer pins you're using and buy the best you can afford as I find you do get what you pay for.Read full review

A panel pin pusher.... says it all really!

What do you say about a panel pin pushing tool?

I've wanted one for a while and with the vardo rebuild, I now needed one. This arrived in a timely fashion and was great for the job.

It could have benefited from a magentic interior so that the panel pins didn't fall out, but a little wrist magic and I managed to keep most of the pins in place long enough to be pushed fully home.

The build quality was good, it was robust enough to put up with three full days work.

That being said, it did fall apart on more than one occaission.

So, how can I say the build quality was good?

Well, it was just the outer core that came off, and, when I took the time to actually refit it properly, it has never failed me again.

So, I am putting the 'failure' down to being just luck of the draw.

It is sat on my desk now as I type, would I buy anther one? I don't think that I will ever need to, this one should last a lifetime. (Although, picking it up and the outer core has just come off in my hand again - I'll repair after my next mug of coffee).

But, yeah, happy with this purchase!

Lack of attraction

Very well made BUT, They should come with a MAGNETIZED CENTRAL ROD..

That is the whole idea of them !! to hold the pin in until it's pushed into the wood.

( take it to bits, magnetize the rod, re-assemble, glue rod cover back in, THEN you're ok. )Read full review

Panel pin pusher

Starts or pushes in panel pins , depending on the hardness of the wood . Saves fiddling with small pins and prevents bruised fingers !
