Keep your group together, use Rotosound strings.

I first put the RS 66 set on my brand new Rickenbacker 4001s in 1974. My affinity for piano bass tone was born. Even today the sound of a fresh set Rotosounds sets the bar for what should come next... tone, my tone. Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Steinberger, Kubicki, Music Man; four string and five string; fretted and fretless; all my basses sound best with Rotosound RS 66 sets. Always.Read full review

ROTOSOUND 66 BASS STRINGS OH YEA!!!

ONE OF THE BEST BASS STRINGS OUT THERE ..PERIOD , OUTSTANDING QUALITY AND THEY LAST QUITE A WHILE BEFOER GOING DEAD . USED BY GEDDY LEE OF RUSH AMD MANY OTHER PROFESSIONALS .
I LOVE THE 45-65-80-105 SET AND ALWAYS HAVE A NEW SPARE SET OR 4 ON HAND ,,,MY FENDER AND SQUIRE JAZZ BASS QUIVER SOUND AMAZING ,,,FROM ROCK TO SLAP FUNK...HIGHLY RECOMENDED
NOW PACKGED ALLL TOGEATHER IN A PLASTIC POUCH VS THE OLD BOX AND INDIVIDUAL SLEEVES ...NOT THRILLED ABOUT THAT ,,,ROTOSOUND SAYS IT KEEPS MOISTURE AWAY FROM THE STRINGS BUT I THINK THEY SELL FAST ENOUGHT THAT THIS IS MORE OF A COST CUTTING TACTIC THAN ANYTHING ELSE ...BIO FRIENDLY CONCIOUS PLAYERS MAY NOT LIKE THIS NEW LOOK AND STYLE OF PKGING
BUT THE STRING ARE A 10 OUT 0F 10

Crisp, crunchy, strong, solid

I've been using the the RS66LD's since I first bought a set of these, back in 2010. Those strings are amazing; their great quality helps them stay crisp and strong for quite a long time, even for those of you (like me) who slap your strings aggressively on a daily basis.

The tone these strings provide cuts through the mix easily, thanks to it's funky/crunchy nature. It can be useful for Funk/Jazz and for all types of Rock/Metal.

Rotosound RS66LD Swing Bass 66

Great sounding strings. Bright but highs are not overwhelming. Lots of mids and grind; great rock tone that Rotosounds are known for. Long string life as well, and good string tension (higher tension than DR HI Beams and D'Addario's. Only complaint is the roughness of the string makes for some difficulty with slides and shifting. Benefit from some GHS Fast Fret. Read full review

Versatile, full of bright tones and fat sustaa

These are the best bass strings, period. Their bright sounds evoke the legendary tones that John Entwistle of The Who pioneered. Or, back off the treble a bit, and they work for almost any kind of music. They last a long time, too.Read full review

The gold standard of stainless steel bass strings.

Rotosound RS66 Swing Bass strings were the 1st bass strings I identified that felt right and sounded great, in my early years playing in rock bands. Though there's been a bazillion new verities of string since then, Rotos still nail the sound and feel I love in stainless steel 45-105 round wound string set.Read full review

Classic Rock Tone

Are you looking for Geddy Lee, Chris Squire or John Entwistle? Then these are the weapon of choice.....do they last forever? No....do they destroy your finger tips and eat soft frets like a rat tailed file?....Yes.... is there a suitable substitute?....No.......unless you're playing flat wounds there isn't be another choice for bass strings.....Read full review

Excellent bass strings!

I understand that these strings are the very ones the great Chris Squire used to use on his Rickenbacher. That was enough to sell me on them! Also the fact that they are excellent sounding strings!!!Read full review

Roto's in a class of their own.

I recently changed from nickel to stainless after 40 years of playing as a professional bassist and I like the slightly crisper sound I get although I could still recommend either without hesitation. They have a great feel as well as sound.Read full review
