A great Help
First time I nearly give up on it, thought it a waste of money but got the mix right and it was great. pointed up a load of Indian stone I found it better to load gun from nozzle end, if you have to shake dispenser to get mortar out then its too thick ,mix the mortar well until creamy ,if its too thin when you come to use it water will drip out of the nozzle end so put your finger over nozzle until you get to your job thus avoiding stainingRead full review

My experience using this type of equipment.
This unit allowed the water content of the cement to leak from the bottom of the tube without any pressure being applied, and on squeezing the handle compressed the cement so hard that the tube became blocked without any cement escaping from the nozzle. Having tried various mixes of cement and added soap in the mixture to allow easier excess of the cement, I found the unit to be a waste of time. I throw it in the bin after trying to unscrew the main cap at either end when it became so compressed that I could not remove the end caps.Read full review

Design improvement needed.
A temperamental piece of kit - difficult to get the mix exactly right and then the mix can still stop flowing so you're having to regularly empty and refill the tube. However.... for time consuming pointing of awkward rough field boulder stone walls it definitely speeds up the process.Read full review

Well made but has limitations
Bought this gun to grout a slate floor.
I found the grout was managing to bypass the plunger due to the way it is constructed, so I made a rubber washer that sat in front of the plunger and it was fine after that.
It may be due to the fine consistency of the grout and may not be a problem with mortar.
The body would benefit from being a bigger diameter to make it easier to load.
Other than that a well made product that saved a lot of time.Read full review

Alright if you use the gun half full
THE MORTOR as tendency of drying out too quickly as your squeezing and you cant empty the gun if you make the mortar too liquid it doesn't stay in the gap of bricks
if you put mortisiser in the solution it help and only fill the gun half fullRead full review

Broke after two minutes
Initial thoughts where it was solid quality. After I filled it with mortar, the plastic end cap that holds the metal tube on broke. For this $40 tool wasn’t ever able to repair the mortar around 1 brick...Read full review
