From the picture it looks thicker. However, for the money you cannot complain. This is approximately 1mm thick wire with a green plastic sleeve rolled up. Remember, there is 50 meters of it. It was not the thicker type that I thought it was, however, it can still do the same job for what I wanted. I was not that impressed with the cutter, but I just use scissors and its no problem. I'm sad to say this was quite disappointing...although there is a good amount of wire & the attached cutter works well, It Was a struggle to use, as it's on a cardboard back, and the wire got tangled while trying to use.Read full review

Tangles easily

The wire gets tangled incredibly easily, and then it is a real pain to untangle. The cardboard backing is of zero value when tangles set in.

The ties are too thin [ 0.65mm x 1.75mm ] they will cut into plants when blown about by wind .
