Identical to the magazine which came in the LCP II
While Rugers are "Made in the USA" they do outsource some parts, like this magazine. It is stamped "Made in Italy", as was the one which came with the gun. It is high quality, functions flawlessly, and locks the LCP II's slide back after the last shot, every time. Much better than using the older LCP magazines, which do not lock the slide back.
All that being said, I do think that everybody, including Ruger's on-line store charges too much for these tiny magazines.Read full review

Original Ruger magazine defini9tely the way to go
Not all magazines are created equally. In most cases the OEM manufactured magazines are your best bet. There are, of course, rare exceptions where an aftermarket magazine offers more value--an extra round or two perhaps--but in a small personal protection tool reliability is paramount. The magazine is the heart of your concealed carry handgun and must function flawlessly. Quick delivery and As Described
The ordered product was a new, original manufacturer's magazine for the LCP II. The product arrived quickly and as advertised, new in original packaging, with the extended floorplate installed and the flat floorplate in the package, with the same easy-to-remove warning sticker affixed to the side that came with the original magazine included with the pistol. The extended floorplate provides more purchase on the grip for your ring finger, but does NOT add additional capacity to the magazine.
The magazine holds 6 rounds of .380ACP, and has the modified follower which pushes upwards on the LCP II's slide release lever, causing the slide to lock rearward after the last round has been fired. This feature is not present on the original LCP series. The magazine is backwards-compatible with the old version LCP (it will not add the last-round holdback feature). And for that matter, you can use original LCP 6-round mags with the LCP II, though it will not activate holdback.
I have run approximately 75 rounds through this magazine so far - ~50 flat-nose-FMJ and ~25 hollowpoint (90g XTP) - with no malfunctions.
The price I paid (just under $27 with free shipping) was good. MSRP is $34, and other online places I found were selling them for $31 with shipping. However, it's still awful high for a small, single-stack magazine!Read full review

For your LCP II
6 count magazine with 1 in the chamber makes a 7 shot compact handgun. At the time of review, I cannot find a larger magazine.
The best part about this mag/gun is the bolt locks back on the last shot. I find this a very comforting feature for many reasons.

Very best price for genuine LCP II (2) magazines
I have ordered but not received yet. If genuine LCP II mags that lock the slide back after last round, I will be a happy camper getting the very best price around for these mags. I have both the orig. LCP with a RTK Red Sweet Pea III Trigger from Galloway Precision, and the newer LCP II (2). Best value 380 pocket gun around. Love them both.Read full review

Better than the mag that came with the gun.
This product for the Ruger LCP ii is the Italian made magazine. Bottom line it is a better quality than the USA made mag that came with the gun. This mag fully engages the slide stop where as the USA made mag just barley catches the stop because it fits loose in the frame and does not push up enough on the slide stop.Read full review
