Good but with faults

Bought to replace my previous hobbs kettle which almost identical apart from blue light. This light is tacky, just cheap leds spread out at random not even evenly spaced and different brightness. Better when the on off switch just glowed red. Also its very wobbly on base. And when you remove the large sticker off kettle it leaves an stain which doesnt clean off without scratching the brushed steel finish. But it does boil fast and slightly quieter than last one. Overall the kettle is great but the packaging could be much improved.

The kettle is very good and a very fast boiler. I am worried about the kettle if it should break down as their is not a guarantee with this. I do not know why it did not come with it as other products do. The packaging was not very good as it did not come with its original box. It came in a brown box and was not wrapped very well. There was no protection for the kettle in transit and could have been easily crushed in the post.Read full review...

Quiet and Quick Boil

After having this kettle for several weeks now i can say that it does what it says and i am pleased with the overall performance for the price and quality.It is a lot quieter than some of the Russell Hobbs i have had in the past,and it also boils a lot quicker.The kettle is easy to handle and it is also easy to use.It also looks stylish and blends in nicely with the rest of my kitchen.Of course having all these great qualities,it makes a great cuppa too!Read full review...

It really is quiet! good capacity, looks good, quality feel, and when you go elsewhere and hear other people's kettles, you realise how good it is to have this quiet one!

really pleased with this purchase. the best kettle I have had so far.

- quiet boil
- rapid boil
- pours well, no drips or spills
- easy open lid for filling
- 360° as markings are on both sides
- lights up at base, so you know it's on
- small countertop footprint
- nice, understated but quality modern look without looking like some kitsch space age gadget

The only very slight niggle I have so far is that the brushed chrome exterior shows marks easily. I live in a very hard water area, and any water that splashes on exterior while filling leaves a very obvious water marks.

Very good kettle

The kettle is quiet. At least much quieter than my previous Russel Hobbs kettle. I found it quite heavy at first but soon got used to the weight. Would definitely buy it again though!

Great quiet kettle

The kettle is quiet! Did a side-by-side comparison with a standard stainless steel kettle and it really does reduce the noise level considerably. It boils quickly and as well as having water gauges on both sides (useful for left-handers like me) it has some petal-like levels within the water chamber to help with filling to the correct depth.

Delighted with the kettle: my only surprise is that the blue led light does not illuminate the water chamber like some other kettles which would help show the depth on water on the gauges.

Great kettle.

Bought this to match the Buckingham toaster but the finishes aren’t really the same. Commonality is the blue light and the black thumb levers.
However, is a great kettle. Boils quickly and has a stainless steel interior- wouldn’t buy a plastic kettle. Also have a Russell Hobbs kettle in the caravan and because I was happy with it, I bought this version. You can buy a lot cheaper but generally buy cheap, buy twice.Read full review...
