Food Steamer
This replaces a similar type from Woolworths, bought when they closed down. It works just the same and as well, and it includes a cooking guide, which is quite useful. You can top this up with water while it is in use, but we never had to with the old one, which suddenly stopped working, but gave many years of good service, so hope this one does to. The instructions says you can put the bowls in the dishwasher. We did and they came out fine.Read full review...

9 litres basket space is plenty for a family that likes lots of veg
The steamer baskets nest inside one another for storage, but unlike in previous electric steamers I have had, this one doesn't allow the baskets to turn upside down and store neatly on top of the base unit, as the base is too wide. This means you need quite a tall storage space to be able to store it in a cupboard or on a shelf.
The baskets have non removable bases, which is an improvement on the older version because that part used to break easily. Overall the unit is well built, looks smart and works well. It has a quiet ping noise to indicate its finished on cooking time - not as loud as previous versions. Its just a pain to put away out of view!Read full review...

Great steamer and highly recommended!
A lovely replacement to my old steamer that died of death. Really love this as its sturdy and large; and above all aesthetically pleasing. Seems unfortunate that none of the steamers on the market come with a detachable mains cord as this would make it easier when cleaning/washing the base.

Simple to use good value product
The plus points of this steamer is how easy it is to use. There is only one control - the analogue timer. No clock to set or complex programming. The three baskets fit easily on top of the unit. Food cooks quicker in the lower baskets. The rice basket does not work that well as it is neither quicker or better tasting than using a saucepan. The plastic discolours with some foods such as carrots. If you live in a hard water area put some vinegar in the steaming water. Scale will ultimately kill the unit degrading the plastic and causing staining. For the price a good simple product.Read full review...
