We had one of these kettles many years ago until after much use it gave up the ghost. It was described, at the time by Which Magazine, as one of the, if not the, quietest kettles they had ever tested. That holds true today. It boils quietly and quickly. Our best kettle! It's very quiet when switched on, boils quickly and the bottom of the kettle illuminates blue when on, very useful. Not too heavy, even when full (arthritis sufferer).

just the job
the kettle is super quiet, apart from having the blue light you can not hear it boiling until a couple of seconds before it knocks off.( i have had to turn around in the kitchen more than once to see if i have actually turned it on ), once i see the light on i know i have.!!!!!

I like the flip-top lid, the fact that you can see the water in the kettle,; the metal ring in the kettle which makes it boil so quickly. Quiet boil is of no interest to me . I find the kettle a bit heavy to lift but I suppose this is because it is made of metal, which I do prefer to plastic. Being ale to boil a very small amount is a huge plus.Read full review...
