Great Charsers

These little chargers are compact and very easy to use. They work great with the Ryobi ONE+ batteries. I now have bought four, and have replaced my older, larger chargers. Two have been in use for several months with no problems.Read full review

Slow charger

Takes HOURS to charge a battery with this. It's a trickle charger. Does the job though. I use it for a back-up to my regular charger.

Slow, but it gets the job done.

The P119 is a SlOW charger ... expect it to take hours to recharge a flat battery. However, IF you need a charger that takes up incredibly little space, and is small enough to fit inside your tool bag, then this is for you. It takes up so little space that I can put it in a baggie, toss it into my tool bag, and know that if I am out on a job site and one of my batteries runs out of juice, I can plug it in and start recharging on site instead of taking it home and hoping to remember to charge it there.

Yes, it will not recharge your batteries in 30 minutes or less, BUT it is a great little back-up charger to have with you if you are stuck with a dead battery away from the fast charger in your home shop.

Perfect little charger to keep the spare batteries fresh

Works... Not fast, but it doesn't take up a lot of space either.

RYOBI Pocket Charger

Very easy to use and store. Works well. Just takes a while to charge a battery versus the full size chargers.

This is all you really need

With all the space saving modificatrions being produced on a regular basis this really fall into place. Makes you wunder why all the big bulky chargers in the past with too many unnecessary bells and whistles when there used to be very simple instruments all along.Read full review

An often overlooked Ryobi charger, cheap and slow/battery prolonging charger.

We're always looking for quick chargers, regardless if it's for phones, general gadgets, or for our power tools. We never stop to think if we should always use one. This charger is the slowest (and cheapest) Ryobi charger you can find, at a whopping 7W (a typical Ryobi charger is at 10x that amount, 50-80W). Even Ryobi lists this charger as a 10 hour overnight charger. If you have the luxury of charging your batteries slowly to prolong their life, this is it. The only issue I have is that I usually try to charge up my larger 4-8AH batteries to 50-75% for storage and when it charges overnight, it's difficult to unplug it at just the right time. With a calculator and a smart plug, maybe I can attempt this at one point.

This also charges the old NiMH and NiCad batteries, which some of the newer fast chargers don't. Although, I've yet to see anyone still rocking the old yellow and black batteries.

Overall, a good slow charger to have around for times when you don't need speed. It's small and light for traveling too.

Good but slow

The good is that it properly charges both the NiCad and the Lithium batteries as advertised. It brought back a NiCad battery pack from the dead.
The disappointing is that this unit charges rather slowly. So with planning it does what is needed. If you need a quick charge on a job site, this might make you wait.Read full review

Slow to charge but gets the job done

The Ryobi P119 dual- chem lithium ion battery charger takes abount eight hours to charge a 18 volt battery but, works good on both lithium and nicad battery.
