Suitable product for smaller projects
I have used this on smaller projects (trim doors, etc) and it does an adequate job. It is lightweight and easy to use; the 18v battery provides enough power to get through 2X4 material. It certainly does not have the power or feel of a corded 7 1/4 saw that I use on larger projects (room additions, etc). But, for the price and convenience (and battery compatibility with other Ryobi One+ tools), it will serve you very well.Read full review

COrdless Saw.. needs power but works great
Great product but get a 4A batter... the 1.5 batteries don't work long before they are too weak to cut.. It will turn fast but not cut.
Still I love it because of the flexibility

Ryhobi 6 1/2 inch 18 volt circular saw
A battery operated circular saw is ideal for quickly cutting a board. No cord to drag. 6 1/2 Is ideal because it will cut a 2/4. It is a Ryobi saw so you know it is of high quality.

Great saw
The description said refurbished but it came in the original box and looks brand new. Even the blade is unused and still in the original packaging. My original “blue” ryobi saw has seen heavy use and finally started making a lot of bearing noise. It was probably the tool I use the most after my drill driver.
So this is an upgrade with a bigger blade and more power. After one afternoon of use I couldn’t be happier. I cuts smooth and quick even through 1” oak. Plenty of power.Read full review

Great handy tool
Clean quick cuts in mahogany with this saw. Pleased with the results, and 'open box' means a friendly price for brand new item.

Ryobi P507 makes the cut!!
awesome power for a battery powered saw! Right out of the box, I slapped in a battery and went thru 1 3/4" 100 year old oak church pew!!!

Great for medium sized jobs
I have the 5" Ryobi and a good 120V worm drive. This really takes the place of the 5". It has a lot more power and handles both framing and plywood and isn't too much bigger. I have no idea how it would stand up with everyday use. I'm a do it yourself homeowner. I'm very happy with both it's power cutting 2x material as well as cutting a straight line in plywood. I do suggest a lithium battery so plenty of power will be provided.Read full review

2x plus capacity
bought this to replace 5.5" blade saw that barely gets through 2x lumber. i do wish more parts were metal as i have a tendency to break off the blade guard thumb tab. Also the blade guard itself is plastic including the upper part which is metal on the old saw. I like the location of the battery compared to the old saws. Startup is slow but the saw seamed to run right through the trim boards I cut during the first use.Read full review

Great Saw. Easy to handle. Low noise and dust. Blade leaves a small cut.

Another great Ryobi product
I have several other tools from ryobi and a good selection of lithium batteries. This saw works way better than the older blue units they market. Built a small shed using this saw and two charged batteries plus some use off drills. Its just deep enough for cutting a 3x. If this had a laser guide it would be outstanding but I say that while never having used one. Mine was purchase as refurbished or not in original box. It had hard to see use/handling marks otherwise it appeared new with no scuffs or gouges.Read full review
