Cordless miter saw
I am a retired builder who has owned tools from all of the big names...ie; Delta, Dewalt, Makita etc...I owned several Ryobi tools during the same time frame. I found them to be consistently of high quality, durable and at least as good as other brands costing more...being cordless, this tool can be used anywhere as long as you have batteries. I still do occasional "small jobs" and cordless is a huge plus for me....I don't want to take longer to set up than it does to do the work.Read full review

Lightweight but poor quality control in casting
Due to poor quality control the back fence has a slight bow which causes kick back when cutting any angle near 90deg. Also the access to the saw blade retaining nut is so bad I will have to cut some metal away to be able to change the blade. Apart from these 2 problems it's quiet and has enough power to cut for a mornings work with 2 4amp batteries, shame that RYOBI did not THINK about a TRANSFORMER ADAPTER to allow for MAINS VOLTAGE usage.Read full review

One Bad-A$$ Saw!!!
I'm a contractor 14years now. I have All brands of power tools but in the past few years I have been converting everything to Ryobi 18v tools. I just bought this dual battery compound miter saw a few weeks ago for a baseboard job in a 3/2 condo and it worked out fantastic! I was able to do the entire house with 5 1/4" baseboard, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Living room, kitchen, closets all on a single charge with my 2 year old batteries I already had! Then I rebuilt an entire 30' boat dock last week with it. 2x6 PT decking and 2x8 PT stringers plus about 120 1x2" pilling strips all cut on 45s, all on just 2 battery charges!!! It's light weight, cuts thru everything a give it! and great on the dock because I don't have to run extension cords out near the water. I have been using a Ridgid 12" non sliding miter saw for the past 14years. That thing is just to heavy to haul around anymore. I am almost completely cordless with my business now. Just need an 18v table saw and and 18v wet saw and i'll be 100%. Read full review

awesome tool
It's about time someone makes a cordless and brushless miter saw with a lot of power and speed. My older 18v cordless Ryobi 10" miter saw it was a little slow and went through batteries pretty quickly and the blades speed was slow and it would try to kick back. Burt this tool is awesome and the double batteries is a great idea rather than another type of battery and voltages. I wished Ryobi would have done this with their cordless chain saw, brushless version with two 18v batteries instead of the 40v brushed motors.Read full review

The beauty of cordless
This miter saw is very good quality. It works well and it is so nice to just prep the saw on the working site without the hassle of cable. Recommend it warmly. Of course the saw doesn’t have the power of a wired saw of good quality, but it definitely does the job cutting.Read full review
