Good Blanket

The blanket is heavier than you would expect for the money and seems to be of good quality. It had a odor that many mentioned but nothing overwhelming. I washed twice in cold water and dried on the wool "cool" cycle. It did shed quite a bit so watch your filter but this is to be expected for this type of blanket. It got softer with each wash so I may even wash again. I plan on using this as a camping or just keep in the trunk blanket which makes it perfect for my needs and price range.Read full review

Blanket Odor

The army blankets I purchased have a terrible odor. I've washed them several times and can't get rid of the smell. It is something like kerosine or dry cleaning fluid. I won't use these and will have to throw them out. I wouldn't recommend buying them and if you purchase army blankets pay special attention to the country of origin or buy vintage ones.. Wool Blanket made in India

For the money, this is a good blanket. It is rather thin but for under $25, I don't expect a Hudson's Bay blanket. Several people complained about the smell but this blanket had only a feint odor, probably from the fire retardant that is used. I had a blanket that had an objectionable odor and I got rid of it with a whole bottle of Fabreez and letting it air out for a week in the garage. I have not used it yet but I would not call it soft and fluffy. A few cold water washes may help. Living in Houston, this blanket will not get a lot of use but will be there if needed.Read full review

Been looking for a quality wool blanket at a reasonable price?

Then you just found it! New and full cut, it fits my needs for an emergency car kit/bug out pack/full camping pack blanket. If I needed another one, this is the one I would get!

This is a great 80% Wool Blanket.

I have been looking for a wool blanket at a good price and this is it. Great for hiking, for the car or just to spread it out on the bed for a very cold winter night. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a good and warm blanket.Read full review

HAS SOME HEFT TO IT AND THAT IS A GOOD THING

THIS IS A GOOD SOLID PURCHASE. THE BLANKET HAS A NICE FEEL TO IT AND IS HEMMED WELL. IT HAS A FEELING OF HEFT AND I THINK THAT FACTORS INTO ITS WARMTH. I WILL KEEP THIS IN MY AUTO. THE GREAT THING ABOUT KEEPING SOMETHING IN YOUR VEHICLE IS, YOU ARE NEVER VERY FAR FROM IT. RARELY MORE THAN 100' OR SO.Read full review
