Easy to install, quiet operation

Replaced the water pump in my 2003 Roadtrek with this Shurflou after calling the company to confirm the model number. Disconnected the red and black wires (after confirming that the house battery was off) and then the water inlet and outlets. Four screws hold the water pump in place. Reversed the process to install the new pump. Hardest part of the whole job was working within the very confined space next to the Roadtrek water heater--an issue that Shurflo has no control over. Turned on the house battery and tested the pump. Runs very quiet. If I get 15 years of service out of the new pump...Well, I won't worry about that. Will be in The Home before thenRead full review

Horrible Customer Service..Stay Away

I ordered a new water pump for my RV. It did not come in an original box so they probably sent refurbished pump. They just threw it into a box with a tiny piece of this bubblewrap that was useless. The box was destroyed in transit and because they did not add any packaging to protect it, the pump was damaged.
I need a pump like right nkw to winterize. I tightened up screws as best as i could and hooked it up. It does not work.

Thank you for reaching out to us! Once an item is installed, the manufacturer has a strict policy to follow their warranty protocol if you are having issues with the item. You would need to find a local authorized service center that can honor the manufacturer warranty on the unit. From there, they should be able to get this taken care of for you.

Nervous about the pressure at first

I replaced the Shurflo pump that was original with my camper in '93 due to not winterizing early enough last fall causing a leak at the bypass whenever the pump was running. Rebuild kits are available but for a 25 year old pump, I decided to splurge but was a little worried about the switch pressure. My original was only 45 PSI and with the age of the camper I don't want to stress the lines more than intended or have the pump short cycle for being too big. I have installed this and used it a few weekends and so far so good! Super quiet compared to the old one and the faucets don't feel any tougher to open or close. If it lasts as long as the last one did, I will be more than happy with it!Read full review

Great Replacement Pump

I replaced a 13 year old shurflo pump with this model. Its slightly larger and it pumps just a little more gpm. since I added a winterizing kit, I had to relocate the new pump. The discharge hose was too short. I added about 24" of hose to the discharge side and made a complete loop before I connected to the pump. My old pump was really loud, I could hear it over the generator running. Now I have to go in the room where the new pump is located to tell if it is running. I don't know if my old pump was just going bad or what. this new pump is so much quieter and more powerful. I love it and the price was very good compared to some of the local rv stores in my area. If you have enough space to put a slight larger pump, I recommend this pump. One note, it would not shut off at first, but I disconnected the discharge end and pumped a little water thru it, reconnected and it worked just fine. By the way my old pump use to do the same thing. Fits perfectly and quieter

I purchased this SHURflow pump ot replace the SHURflow pump in my 2009 Cruiser RV which was the discontinued model 2088-442-144. It did not take much manipulating to get the pump in the place where the original was. The hookup to the water and electrical lines was quite easy. Shurflo Water Pump Works Great

I purchased a Shurflo Water Pump 4008. My pump arrived promptly and well packaged. It included two adapters which I replaced because they did not fit the water hose I had purchased for use with the pump.

I use my pump as an external pump to transfer water from my 5 & 6 gallon water containers into my Motorhome’s main water holding tank to help extend my time boondocking.

Excellent replacement for my aging 20 YO pump
