I was surprised to discover that these machines are still in demand and in use by quilters. When my quilting wife said that she has always wanted one I headed for ebay. The featherweight I bought was in great condition and came with its manual. Having the manual was very important as this machine threads a bit different from regular machines.

Featherweight Sewing machine

I didn't open it up and try sewing with it for about a week or more. The belt slipped and it wouldn't sew. However, I went online and typed in the problem. It now sews a perfect stitch. It was an easy fix.

Broken power cord wires but nice sewing machine home

Sewing machine is great, but I am unable to use yet due to foot control and power cord had loose wires that need replacing. Parts have been ordered so hopefully will be ready to use very soon
