Good replacement for Shimano

I started using Sram three years ago as a replacement for Shimano, and have had excellent results with the product.
It's so much easier to replace and remove for cleaning due to the master link (you will need a master link removal tool). I've noticed no problem with shifting and the wear seems to be just as good as Shimano. I won't use hollow pins.

I carry spare master links in case of a chain break, but I've never broken a chain. I'm 155 pounds so I'm not sure what a heavier rider would do using Sram. I use both 10 and 9 speed Sram chains.

Great Chain at a good Price

This appears to be a well built chain and the price was reasonable for an upper tier chain. It has a power link so it's easy to put together.

High Quality Dependable Chain

I put down a lot of miles on very dusty double track and gravel trails, and that tends to eat chains up. This is my third SRAM 971 chain and have never had a problem with one. Especially like the Power Link that makes installation a breeze if you have a pair of chain pliers.Read full review...

Good chain*****

I ride 2-4K per year. I lube with Pro-link applied by old toothbrush before every ride. I check chain stretch often with a Park chain wear indicator tool and my chains last 4 K or more. I never wear out chain rings and seldom wear cogs either.Read full review...

good stuff

This is not the top of the line, but fine for my needs. my drivetrain is now nice and quiet. The powerlink makes installation easier and you don't need to worry about a replaced pin loosening up!

Bike Chain

Works great on my 20 year old road bike.

great price

Very good chain. The PC 971 I replaced it with had lasted several years and held up to aggressive trail riding.

Have this chain on a couple of my bikes , it was highly recommended by a person I know who actually owns a bike shop.
