It really works!
I’m not the type of person who normally reviews products but I will make an exception for Stormdry.
We have lived in a 150 year old property for the last 35 years in an exposed situation. For the first 32 years we had had problems with a damp wall in one of the rooms.
The roof was replaced and chimney stack removed to no avail. We tried the various cheaper water repellants on the offending wall without any long term success. I mentioned the problem to a builder friend and he recommended Stormdry. I applied it to the wall three years ago and the problem was solved, it even repelled the worse that the recent storms threw at us.

Storm Dry offers a layer of protection on exposed walls.
I have used this product before on a wall open to the elements in particular driving rain. After application I had no repeat of damp permeating through the cavity wall onto internal walls which required re-painting for some years after. It did not help that this particular wall was insulated with wool fibre which ensured any damp bridged across the cavity into the internal wall. This wall is now covered half with weather boards and half render. I have had no issue with damp throughout this winter, I do intend to use Storm Dry on the render before painting.
It is pricey but providing the mortar is in good shape in my experience it will offer a good level of protection to sound walls. Easy to apply with a brush, dries out to become invisible.Read full review...

It went on easily and seemed nice and thick. Of course, the coming stormy wet weather will be a good test for it as the wall we've had it painted on used to leak like a sieve due to porous brickwork.

Awaiting results after a storm
I am having trouble with rain water and needed something to treat the house wall. This cream is easy to apply and hopefuly will do the job but it needs testing in winter storms when the rain is driven against the house wall. Easy to apply!
Last time I did my walls it was with Thompsons Waterseal, which is liquid and goes everywhere....makes a right mess.
My Builder recommended this product to me.
I used a brush to apply it and hardly any mess at all.
Yes it is more expensive, but allegedly it will last 25years, Thompsons doesn't, so over the same time period I imagine it would be a similar cost in the end.
