What a fun movie!!!
Clive Cussler is such a thrilling, imaginative, and engaging author, I just HAD try the one movie he's allowed to make it to the screen..... and Mathew McConaughey plays the swashbuckling Dirk Pitt to the hilt!!!
A Cussler book is difficult to abridge to the screen, but they managed to make an entertaining enough film with Sahara, that I've already watched it half a dozen times, and will enjoy it many more times!! Though the ending is weak.... it's typical 'guy gets girl' stuff.....don't let that intrude on the excitement and action and comraderie.... and don't expect a bunch of gratuitous sex and foul language..... NOT from Cussler!!! People get shot and killed and beaten up, but no brains are shown, flying from the exit wound, etc.
Get it, let yourself be carried away by the adventure, get a little "Cussler history lesson".... and escape to Sahara for 90 minutes!!Read full review
