Unable to read

I bought this as it said easy to read magnified window, well unfortunately I just can’t read it! It just looks blurry to me even with my glasses on. It would be better without the magnification as the problem is that there is a round spot in the middle of the window which is distorting the dial. Good basic scales

It is lightweight and small enough to stow away in a small house. I still need to put my spectacles on to read the dial accurately. However, you can see enough to determine whether you have lost or gained weight. Instant readings, unlike having to tap digital scales to reset. I like it very much it’s well made neat set of mechanical scales goes up to 20 stone it says . I’m nowhere near that so that’s good but just mentioning it,

Not Accurate

It's not accurate, you put it on a flat floor and set the dial to zero but it moves slightly so I canot get an accurate reading.
It's so frustrating as it's a solid comfortable scale but not suitable for purpose.
I wish I had bought a digital scale .
As we need to keep an eye on our weight and not able to go to the doctors to get weighed I am now so unhappy
I cannot go to a post office to return the scales, so I am stuck with it.
So disappointed.
Being a pensioner I cannot afford to waste money but in this case I have.
First time I have been let down on E Bay.

Salter scales

The scale, although being magnified is still not that easy to read unless you have fairly good eyesight. You can only approximate your weight to the nearest couple of pounds but they do seem fairly accutate.Worse still, when placed on our tiled bathroom floor they are liable to slide away when stood on unless you step on absolutely in a downward direction. Actually a bit dangerous as she nearly fell trying them out.
Bought this for my wife but she is unable to use them because of these failures. Will try to buy more stickier feet for it and will have to read it for her when she uses it. Read full review...

Good enough but not entirely accurate. Weight very variable. Good for the money though if you just wish to keep roughly up to date with your weight.

Hard to read, but cheap

You shouldn't expect too much for £9.99 including shipping, so it seems unfair to criticise these Salter bathroom scales. The shipping alone must come to nearly the paid price! However, we found the scale almost impossible to read without binoculars, so they are of limited use.
