Salter glass kettle

Absolutely brilliant kettle. Boils fast.looks great.Has comfy handle and easy open lid.Has blue led light when left on and red led light when boiling great feature.

Bit Disappointing

Kettle does boil fast and looks quite good but is not iridescent. When on it looks nothing like the promotional photographs. When standing the two LEDs light a blue ring around the base. When switched on to boil the LEDs are red, there is no colour change in the glass. When boiled the LEDs are blue again.
Does the job it is intended to do, which is boil water but I think Salter is stretching it a bit describing it as iridescent especially with the promotional photos.Read full review

Salter glass kettle works well and encourages less water use with it's glass body and clear water level marking.

The glass body gives it a clean look, if after long use the water doesn't stain it. So far after a few weeks, no problems. I hope the filter works for the life of the kettle unlike my last Bosch kettle!Read full review

Beautiful Colours!

This was the ONLY truly Iridescent kettle l found on Ebay, the iridescent effect built in to the glass is attractive, and there is a constant Blue base neon light, which l leave on continually.
*One design fault, is that the water level topped to the upper line must be avoided .. as it ensues splash overflow on the lid base! .. if filled to the 1L mark, there are no problems.
My unit needs to be descaled more regularly than usual l'd say.Read full review

Lovely quality kettle. Good design

I read loads of reviews about this kettle. All the good ones were true. Bad ones included someone saying they were disappointed because the glass didn’t change colour! It tells you what changes colour (the LEDs ) in the description. It’s heavy, well is made of glass capable of holding boiling water! It’s noisy ... no it isn’t, the lights stay on al night, well switch it off at the wall then. There’s nothing wrong with this kettle. Let’s see how long it lasts. Read full review
