Great 3D Blu-Ray Player with smart tv functionility built in to the unit.

I owned a Blu Ray LG player that worked well. After buying a 3D TV I needed to upgrade the Blu-Ray player and this has been great. Very well made and lots of smart tv functions already built in. Very compect and slick looking.Read full review...

Very happy with my purchase.

High quality in sound and picture. It has many features I never would think I'd need but I love having them and now I need them. Great product. Great quality and best purchase for a long time.

Good - but two issues

Looks good, feels solid. However my machine did not play Blu Ray discs. Have seen a similar complaint on Amazon. So. It is ESSENTIAL to Update the software from the Samsung website. Firstly I downloaded a pdf version of the Operator's Manual. Then I found the link to Update along with instructions. Download the file, which being more than 200MB requires the file to be unzipped, transfer the extraced file onto an empty USB stick, switch on the machine, pop the USB stick into the socket. The machine then looks after itself. Hey Presto, it works. Second criticism, unlike other BD machines I have, this one takes ages to load a disc. One waits with bated breath... but it works. I suspect that this is because it's not just a Blu Ray player, but has loads of other functions, which it has to be said, are of no interest to me. The main reason I bought this machine is that it has separate discrete analogue outputs of the various surround channels. I use the Center out to feed into a separate amp and speaker when showing films in our community cinema - this gives you simpler control over the dialogue - an issue we receive most complaints about especially with American movies.Read full review...
