In 2020 it is ok for internet

This is admittedly an older model now and it shows.

It sure not detract from the obvious quality of the screen and sound for such a device.

It has Android 4.2 and cannot be upgraded past that from Samsung.i managed to get android 6 but had to root it to get there. It is a much faster system and usable by today's standards.

great product, portable, good performance for a great price!!!!

Bought this on an impulse, as I already own the Tab 2 10.1 and a Galaxy S2, but was really curious over the 7 inch form.
Wasn't sure how much it would get used as an "in-between" device. But I was pleasantly surprised, it get a lot of use. The weight and size of the device are just perfect for lounging at home on the sofa, and portable to transport into work everyday as an additional BYOD.
The performance of the device is just perfect for my needs. I'm not a big gamer, but the ones I've tried have worked flawlessly.
The battery last well and easily handles 2 days of use (reasonably heavy use), and best of all buy now and the jelly bean update is available as the first thing straight out the box (should note I've only used with JB, so cannot comment on ICS performance).
The expandable storage is a great option, and the main reason why the nexus 7 was ruled out when considering the 7 inch form factor (and I'm personally a fan of the Samsung Touch wiz UI and their products in general).
The only negative I can offer would be the screen, which is adequate, but not as high res as some of the more recent offerings from other manufacturers, or the super AMOLED display of the S2 and comes of badly when compared.
But for the price, as an additional machine and small form tab, I highly recommend this product!Read full review...

I would definitely recommend this Tablet,really just as good as having an iPad,and cheaper. Naturally,an iPad will have some extra features,but overall a Tablet will or should do. Great unit, would buy the same again

Great unit, brought this for my wife, for looking at our pictures on line, not for gameing so the prosessor is fast enough. I have up loaded our pic's to dropbox, so she can access them when she is out and about. It is big enough to make viewing enjoyable, but small enough to fit in a hand bag. I all so brought a 64g macro sd card, this I had trouble with, the tab would not read it. After looking on websites and the instructions they only talk about a 32g card, so I telephoned Samsung, they asked me for the serial number of the Tab, after checking they assured me that it work with a 64g, card but where not able to tell how to get the Tab to recognise the 64g card.After installing the card in my Samsung S3 phone for safe keeping, and then removing and installing in the Tab after a week approx to give it a try, it then worked okay, but I don't know why. Great tablet, better quality that generic brands available

Bought for use while traveling, does not take up too much space.

Have used a generic tablet before and it went back to the store I bought it from.

Not this tablet, yes its not the largest out there but it does what it does well. The size is perfect for travel.

Storgage capacity could be larger the SD card is only useful for storing music and video files, NO APPLICATIONS.

Wifi is excellent on this, reception in every room through two thick walls, previous tablet failed to get a signal 3 metres from the router.Read full review...

samsung galaxy tab unit great value for money

I wanted a tablet for my birthday, A friend had the Samsung galaxy it was pocket sized & easy to use
I checked around for prices the best i could find was on eBay
placed the order on line and unit arrived in a couple of days
unit is everything i expected & more still on a bit of a learning curve
graphics on the unit are good sound is fair for the size & price of the unit bit low on base
battery life is a bit low 2 to 3 hours

Connected whilst on the move. You cannot beat Tab2 for a great experience.

Having owned the original Galaxy Tab 7.0 I immediately noticed the difference in both weight and width. The Tab2 is certainly a lot slimmer that his younger brother. All navigation buttons have now become virtual buttons thanks to Android OS ICS. My Tab2 shipped with ICS 4.0.3 and within a few days I received notification of an upgrade to 4.0.4. This seems to have provided some speed upgrades. HD Video playback is great, and I am yet to find a video file format which this device cannot hardware decode. The front and cameras are a bit disappointing at a low resolution, but do the trick for video calling and capturing important pics. 3G version works great using a bluetooth headset for calls. Speaker output is very clear and loud! Great handy size gadget to take on holiday with you as the added bonus of being 3G means you can leave your phone behind and rely on the Tab2 to fulfill all your IT needs while on the move. cheapest I could find, brilliant product and wouldn't be without it

I bought this tab to replace my laptop, its easy to use very light and does everything I need it for. Its the cheapest I could find (new). When I recieved it at first I had few problems with the wifi but realised it was due to the updates, but I just contacted the seller with concerns with fast reply and answers after the updates the wifi started to work properly. It has amazing amount of memory space for all the apps and songs you may want. Also the camera takes brilliant pictures and videos, they are so clear and great focus.
can't wait to take it abroad, going to be so easy going through the airport compared to a laptop. Im never without my tab now, I love it.Read full review...

As a novice to Tablets I have found this a pleasing introduction.

I have never used a Tablet before and have enjoyed using this one. I managed to set up my email account and various other things I needed on the internet with the help of the quick start guide. However, it would have been easier to do other functions if there had been a manual supplied with the tablet. I had a little bit of help from my daughter with Apps as I haven't used them before and I am enjoying using them. I bought a cover for the tablet as I didn't want the screen to be damaged.
