I made the mistake of buying aftermarket VR unit waste of time got my money back but a pointless exercise and I always say buy cheap get cheap even the app was useless.
This Samsung Gear VR Oculus Generation 2 is fantastic the Oculus running program easy to use simple to navigate around. The VR unit is simple to use it gave it a no on value for money because even though it is well made what you get ultimately is plastic 2 small glass lenses and some strapping. The bad point is that I am using a Samsung S7 edge and after 30 minutes in the VR unit running it got very warm and that was without plugging in the mains it also drains the phones battery. The other small issue I had is the the weight of the VR unit and phone pushes down on my nostrils quite a bit
