The carbon filter removes all associated tastes that are inherent in the public water supply. The price you pay is reflected in the fact these are genuine branded products and not copies. If fitted correctly then you do not get any leaks and you can forget about it for 6 months or until the fridge tells you it needs to be changed. The best tasting water

This a quality original Samsung spare part , with top quality specification that's simple to install and connect to the water supply and be able to supply me clean great tasting water for the whole of its six months life.
I have tried the cheaper fridge water filters and none of them are able to me me the taste like the original Samsung equipment and one does not know what's inside the cheap filters.
