As Advertised
This item was advertised as new. It came with all the same hardware and documentation that come new if bought from Verizon. All the items had been taken out of their original packaging and then put back in the original packaging. I registered the MAC address to my account by calling Verizon support. I then plugged everything in as shown in the setup instructions. After about 30 minutes, all the lights came on blue and the unit is working perfectly. I did not need to use the GPS antenna extender cord. This network extender does not come with a user manual, even if purchased from Verizon. Just search for it on the Internet and download it in PDF format.Read full review

Didn't work
For me this was a big waste of time. After trying everything multiple times it still wouldn't work. You would think that something somewhere would say that this will not work with pay as you go plans. No problem just change your plan to Post Paid, that didn't work either. Samsung includes a thick pamphlet of warranty disclaimers and from what I've heard since buying one is that if you do manage to get one to work they don't last much more than a year.
I bought a house phone with Bluetooth and linked it to my cell, I get one bar as long as I keep my cell in the window I can talk on my cell with the house phone. $89.00 as apposed to $250.00 and no headache.Read full review

Works fine, documentation horrible
I'm used to poor documentation but expected more from Samsung.
Plenty of written material by the word or weight, but half of it is a disclaimer about software used internally that is open source evidently. There are external antennas with long wires that can be placed near a window or outside wall but no strategy or explanation of when and why to use them.
There's not much to go wrong as far as plugging it in and trying it so I did and found I need to move one antenna labeled 'GPS' closer to a window. There are two antenna's both labeled GPS which was also confusing.
So like most things we get these days, I tried it and got it working.
I'm giving it only 4-stars because of the documentation.Read full review

Had to call Verizon to get it to sync to my phone. It took about an hour on the phone...but once it synced,
Very easy to set up. Had to call Verizon to get it to sync to my phone. It took about an hour on the phone...but once it synced, I got 5 bars. It needs to resync every time you enter the house and sometimes still loses signal in the middle of a call. But I had no signal before, so this has definitely helped.Read full review

Samsung Network Extender for Verizon
Works great but did have to spend time on the phone with Verizon to get it hooked up. They had to register it so it could communicate with the Verizon network. Initially I thought it was broken but just needed registration. So if it doesn't work initially just give Verizon customer service a call which could take a little while.Read full review

Veerizon Wireless Samsung Signal Booster
Hello ...
Is it easy to use ... YES after you get familiar with it and get the two/three wire together
Is it well designed ... Yes for what it does it is actually ves, compact and lights to let you know
its components are functioning.
Is it a good value ... Yes, some of these items do not come with directions but you can easily
get directions with correct Part Number, Description, and Model Number
What is not said is that to get it to really function properly it's WISE to call Verizon and let them
know you are attempting to "Register" this equipment and then they'll switch it on from
wherever their base is and BOY what a difference on the Positive end.
Verizon is noted for quality and I live deep, deep, deep in the woods and in the summer when
the tree's are green and thick with foliage almost no signals can penetrate the forest but with
this signal booster it clears up everything! Even if you live in the city this helps more than I
can say. When invited to friends and family often I take it with me and about everybody
notices clear reception on all their devices, I then tell them about the signal booster and i
know at least a dozen folks have been turned onto it and gone to Ebay to purchase one or get
New One ... Unless water was poured in it and messed it up it should function as good as a
New One ... Ebay saved me plenty money in purchasing this ... it's more than great !!!Read full review
Works after long calls to Verizon
Previous extender and gps antenna got toasted by a lightning event. This replacement works as well as that one after dealing with multiple frustrating calls to Verizon agents who didn't seem to have a clue how to deal with it. I finally got a tech support agent that knew what to do. They need the MAC ID to activate. My original was an SCS-2U01. This "new" one is an SCS-2U3100WAR.which is the business version and seems to be a suitable replacement.Read full review

Worst piece of electronics I ever purchased
To make this thing work... every time you leave the house and return... you must go to the device and lay your phone on it for two minutes... you heard me correctly... not "near it"... but on it. Serious? I'm going to stand heel like a dog at the side of this device for two minutes every time I return home? I think not. In addition, I don't see any boost in signal performance. Completely worthless.Read full review

Doesn't Work At All
I do not know whether or not this product works.
In my new house, I got only 1 bar or no bar on my Verizon Wireless phone. I next got a techie friend to lend a cable long enough to put this unit in windows on all sides of my house, which made no improvement in the bars on my phone. He told me that it might have to do with Verizon cell tower placement; an online map showed that the nearest Verizon cell towers were 20+ miles away (east and west). Although the signal is weak, the phone did work (with too-frequent dropped calls), so I expected this unit would boost that weak signal to an acceptable level. It did not.
Perhaps the online info about this signal booster should suggest checking online tower maps (of which I had not been previously aware) before buying this booster.
I switched providers from Verizon Wireless (with whom I've done business for many years) to AT&T, and now get 3 bars on my new phone. Huzzah!Read full review
You need to call verizon
This works pretty good (3G only). We have wifi for internet. So all of the features on our smart phones function at our house in the woods. I could not just set it up myself, I had to call Verizon to activate it with my account.Read full review
