More RAM for your PC - Will you benefit?

Adding more RAM above 4GB to a Windows PC will only benefit you if your PC has a 64bit processor and is running a 64bit Operating System (OS). If you have 4GB already installed you will see there is less than 4GB available to the OS. The reduction is used for drivers that need to be memory resident so adding an extra 4GB will give you an extra 4GB. This extra RAM is of any benefit if you run a lot of memory hungry programs at the same time by reducing activity ( the number of swaps) to the swap file on the disk drive.Read full review
