Super unit (with one small reservation)

Super product. Compact. Lightweight. Fully featured. Ideal for sport (as advertised). Good value. My one reservation is that it is *extremely* slow & cumbersome to either fast forward or fast reverse.

Loses blue tooth and sound setting on switching off

Not bad but inconveniently and annoyingly loses blue tooth connection connection and re-invokes nanny warnings about sound volume every time you switch off and on again and setting for volume control is NOT listed in the menus as displayed on this device, so the manual is plain wrong about the volume setting being available via the menus.
Sound is good providing several options, storage space is good at 16Gb, the device is nice and light and water resistance is good for outdoor use.
The avoidable annoyances should be rectified ASAP however: indeed, I am sufficiently annoyed by the inconveniences that I may never buy another Sandisk media player unless these inconvenient annoyances are remedied and I am tempted to return this one.

Great little compact music player

This is a great music player.

I haven't downloaded any music to it yet, but it does come with headphones for the jack, as well as bluetooth for Your own preferred headphones.

Sound is clear, and the headphones that it comes with, are good quality.

I was surprised when I had seen them.

I will be using My Bose bluetooth headphones, as I am not a fan of working out with a cord getting in the way.

Anti Hinderance :)

Also, I love the size of it, and how it is so compact. Very good for going for a run with this item.

It is so light, and has a clip mount on the back.

Another great reason why I had purchased this product is that You can install a Sandisk Memory Card, with loads more songs on it, You don't have to worry about running out of memory like Your iPod :)

Also Great Value.

Big 2 Thumbs Up For Me :)

Does the job well, very happy, wish the bluetooth worked.

Had been looking to replace my many years old MP3 player for some years, this fits the bil perfectly.

On the plus side it's relatively intuitive to use and of perfectly good quality for myself. I don't have to worry which songs to leave out! I've also discovered podcasts, an unexpected bonus.

On the more negative side the bluetooth doesn't work. It says it's connected but nothing comes out of either of the paired devices, the intention but get some Bluetooth earbuds has gone on the back burner. The volume buttons could be easier to operate, but it's a minor niggle.

Excellent (and a v. minor niggle)

I am very pleased with this purchase. Good sound, good phones, good bluetooth. I personally have one minor issue. I organise my music in folders. This player allows access by song, artist, album or genre. I have had to go through each folder setting all tracks to the same album to get the access I want. Fortunately, under Windows 7, you can highlight all in a folder in properties/details and change all together, but a bit of a hassle.Read full review

A nice little player with some disappointing flaws.

Sound quality is pretty good with wired headphones but can be a bit spotty with Bluetooth unless the unit is within a metre or so of the headphone. It's not bad, but the occasional glitch can be heard. Bass is adequate unless you like it really cranked up, volume likewise.

The menu system is pretty straightforward to use and gives the ability to customise various settings and elminate things you may not want to use such as the radio or the sports settings, if they're not going to be used.

Playlists are a bit limited. There are three GoLists than can contain any songs on the device. Additional M3U playlists can be created but can only contain songs that are in the same folder as the playlist itself.

Battery life seems reasonable - I played tunes for about two hours after fully charging and there was at least 80% battery left according to the battery icon.

It works well with BT v4 earbuds but fails to successfully connect with BT v5 earbuds. The device can see the earbuds but refuses to connect.

Lack of a micro-SD slot is a shame, but this would no doubt have compromised its water resistance, so I can live with the available 16GB (nominal) space.

Overall, this is a nice device let down slightly by a poor implementation of playlists and Bluetooth that, for some reason, is not compatible with the latest BT 5 earbuds.

love it

Only 3 negatives.
Volume does not go high enough to drown traffic noise when jogging, and it has a built in feature which requires you to give consent when trying to turn the volume up to full. ( gives a warning that high volume can damage hearing ! )
It has no "genre" field, only artists, albums, songs.
It has no "compilations" feature, that would compartmentalise compilation albums. As a result the "artists" list is very long.
None of which deter me from giving it 5 stars.

Great product.

Does everything I want it to do and puts all albums in alphabetical order no matter how many times I add to it. Not all players do this. It also has memory so picks up where you left off after switching it off. Not all players do this either. The only down side is that I can't see the display in daylight, to choose another album title, as it is too light. However, not a huge problem and doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the product. P.S. Ensure on set-up you choose 'Rest of World' as volume is the loudest on this setting.Read full review

Clip Sport

This is a replacement for a unit which was four years and lost still very easy to use but the maximum sound is not as high difficult to hear in high ambient noise So far battery life reduced when using Bluetooth to say 14 hrs but quick to recharge The clip makes it easy attachment to clothes Read full review

Same play but benefit from Bluetooth

Have been using SanDisk MP3 players at the gym for years. Plenty of storage space and better device to carry around than gym. Clip onto top is very handy. Got this model for use when skiing or cycling - when the Bluetooth can connect to the relevant smart helmet.Read full review
