SanDisk Sansa e250 Black ( 2 GB ) Digital Media Player

I have owned 4 or so of these. These little player are great, but they can't take a beating as well as I like.

I have owned 4 or so of these. They are the best player on the market- - -I employ some open-source software on them to make them more functional- called ROCKBOX. With it you can do file browsing, TXT file viewing for reading books... , better file compatibility...., games... customizablity- basically Linux on there.

*My only quip is that they aren't very tough- the screen scratches and may eventually break. audio port eventually wears out with extensive use. They sell a protective cover for it. It could be replaced by a smart phone but some of them don't even give you the usability, music organizing, and file editability this thing offers for the cost. Definitely look for ROCKBOX for free download on google if you want more control and a better OS. :)Read full review

I got a little nostalgic the other day missing my Sansa E-250 MP3 Player I had back in the day, so I recently got one here on ebay,
Charged the battery, plug it to my Apple MacBook Pro, and start the "drag & drop" to the player. When it was done, I'll say few seconds?.. I started programing radio stations, and adjusting screen brightness and everything, when I noticed that_ Even with this cheap looking earbuds, and everything, the sound was actually really good!! LOL. Plus I found the EQ with tons of options, plus to customize your own EQ settings too?!. No wonder I was in love with this thing back then.
Hey! You get FM radio to go, and to record your favorite shows, or the "Traffic Jam" (DJ Sets) or weekend night DJ Sets on your favorite FM radio. I know_ Call me old school, but I enjoy that a lot LMAO!..
Also have a slot for an extra Micro Card expansion?! Priceless.. ;-)

Best MP3 Player for Audiobooks

I have owned one of these since they first came out to listen to audiobooks. I either download MP3 books from the library or play WMA files ripped from CDs. I have tried other MP3 players but this is the only one that correctly organizes the disks and chapters in the correct order for playback. It does not offer a bookmark but if you pause the book and shut it off, it will resume at the same place you left off. It had a tough metal housing and a good battery that lasts for years.
