This player was to replace my wife's after the battery leaked. We misplaced it during our last move, then found it...damaged. This one was brand new, and it works perfectly. Not as good as iRiver iFP-799 or iRiver T-10 players. Controls are simple and intuitive. Sound quality is good, but not as good as the iRiver player with SRS. It's a must have for work. It's small and durable. Only needs 1 AAA battery...just 1....that alone saves money. Cheap 8 pack Kroger batteries last me 2-3weeks .
