Choose carefully

Normally happy when I buy scandisk sd cards having had bad experiences with other brands; but this one seems very slow. Not getting the read speed advertised on the package. This is causing me to doubt the quality of the product and weather it is genuine. It takes a good 8 to 12 seconds for some photos to open. This is not acceptable for a modern smartphone. Despite this card being on the approved list for a Tom Tom Bandit Action Cam, neither would work for more than a minute, which indicates that the write speed is below par. My card is only letting me transfer about 20gb of songs on to it. some of the transfered folders that had music in are showing as empty. Any photos now taken with the camera are corrupted. A reformat will solve the problem so long as no more than 15gb is transfered to the micro card.
The card adapter is not well designed, when you insert into a usb adapter or card reader the lock tab on the side gets pushed down. as for good value - not really a 64gb costs £13 therfore a 128gb card should cost under £25
