His intelligent red eyes are like the brake lights on a Studebaker.

He's a dandy robot and has quickly become the leader of our entire robot collection. His shiny chrome-like body is reminiscent of a barrel chested wrestler, and his intelligent red eyes are like the brake lights on a Studebaker. This genius of mechanical tin robotics is already a great favorite of mine. The star-shaped gears that make up his chest turn as he walks, and his walk is less a robot walk, and more some kind of hip, stiff legged dance. Scratched & broken Liliput

The metal tabs that hold the wind-up function down to the hip area of the Robot were loose and it came apart as soon as I wound it.

Managed to get it back together, but the wind up keyhole doesn't line up with the mechanism inside anymore.

Robot came with fine scratches all over the paint as well. Disappointing.

These are neat, but extremely fragile. Make sure the tabs are tightened down before you start winding.

Nostalgic throwback to the hey days of the Japanese tin toys from the 50's and 60's

Although it is a wonderful reproduction of an original Japanese toy robot,
it is made from light tin and the windup gears can be delicate so it is best
to display as part of a robot collection.<br>
I love this toy though : )

Nice collectable

A nice reproduction of a old 1950ish era toy. It probably wouldn't stand up to rough childs play but its a nice item to set on a desk or in a man-cave.
