these cheap 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDDs offer great capacity for your money but are slightly less reliable then most other drives on the market and a little bit slower too which is why i would recommend something like a WD re 2, WD re 4, or WD10EURX over this

if you don't care about the capacity much a 240GB SATA SSD goes for about the same price as one of these HDDs and offers a much better user experience while sequentially workloads would only be about 2-3x faster then a cheap HDD real world random read performance is about 10-30x faster then HDDs which is why applications load so much faster on the SSD and without having a spinning magentic disc inside SSDs are silent and more power effcientRead full review
