High quality

Very nice drive. Confirmed new with zero hours when I installed it, it is not as fast as an SSD but it is a reliable brand proven to last many years. Also 4TB for under $100 is a deal. This drive is on the fast end of HDD technology however. I compared it to a 1tb drive I had and this one is marginally faster. Read full review

Solid drive but slow

Slow drive. This is the Seagate Constellation ES3 (Dell branded) 4TB and compared to my older Seagate Barracuda Pro 4TB, which cost me about the same, it is noticeably slower. 162,476KB/s vs 361,103KB/s. No biggie for me as this drive is for backups only, but if you were trying to access system files or data files in real time, this could be an issue. Read full review

Excellent Product at Modest Price

This is the best hard drive I've ever had (more than 20 other owned). Extremely quite and cool-running - only very-slight warming detected after 1 TB of data transferred at once. Very fast file-list- and data access under Windows 10 environment. Not especially tested under performance-testing programs - just compared at normal use to other 5 (Hitachi, WD, Seagate; 1-2 TB each) hard drives on the same PC.Read full review

Enterprise Design, good longevity under heavy daily usage. BUY ONE!

I have now purchased tree of these drives. All Seagate, All Constellation class drive. All perfect!

they are for 24 hrs of daily use for long term 10 years are expected. design is heavy construction and reliable operation. Mine ran warm the first couple days then cooled right down. Not really what I call quite, but not louder than average noise from hard drive operations. GREAT drives - BUY ONE! Read full review

SeaGate 4TB (Light used)

Got it fast, installed it, had to figure out how to format it, and give it a name. Works good now. I'll see how long it'll last. The constellation has a great reputation.

Excellent HDD for the money

Wanted to replace some of my old internal drives in a Mac Pro and these were an excellent deal. Have 3 now in internal bays. All work flawlessly and partition and format easily.

Great stuff!

Should get one. I’m running a m.2 and a 860evo this is my mass storage. Looooove it. A tad under 4tb for less than how much a 256 gb m2 cost me.
