Good once you get used to it

Managed to damage the first tyre we tried removing with this tools. The bead breaker has too small a radius (even for a 15” wheel) and puts too much pressure in a small area of the tyre. However, if you put a decent block of wood between the bead breaker and the tyre wall you can get it to work effectively. Also use lots of warm soapy water around the rim and let it soak in a bit before trying to break the bead. Once the bead is broken the rest of the removal is pretty straightforward. Refitting is also straightforward. We fitted tyres to 5 newly painted steel rims without any noticeable scratches (used tyre fitting paste which seems to lube the bar a bit). Wouldn’t want to use it with decent alloys though (I think there is a different bar for this anyway). Would recommend but suggest you practice on a scrap tyre for the first time.Read full review

Heavy, substantial tool.

Good solid piece of equipment. Advice on floor mounting bolts would be helpful.

Not Perfect Design

Breaking the bead on tyres is very hit and miss.
