The idea behind this tool is sound enough but its not very well executed. I made a strongback to prevent the cap deforming as the clamps were tightened, I shouldn't have to. The chain provided wouldn't grip my master cylinder reservoir but that's not the fault of the chain, it's as though the reservoir was designed to prevent the use of tools of this design. I did get it to work but it wouldn't give a 100% seal.Read full review

Bad design!

This adaptor is poorly designed. As soon as you apply any downward pressure, using the thumb screws, then you get deformation of the top plate which is only made of plastic. Inevitably with this deformation you can not maintain any pressure. I should have read the reviews on Amazon where people have overcome this problem by fabricating a metal spreader bar to span the top and fix under the hook bolts.

Terrible design

Be aware. Bought this to do a jap car large brake reservoir. It DOES NOT seal. It just distorts the cap with clamping tension on the chains. Tried for over an hour to get a sweet spot but to no avail. I'll be sending mine directly back to sealey with a very snotty letter. Read the reviews on amazon about this unit. Wish I had of done first! It would have saved me time and brake fluid!Read full review

Needs to be redesigned to work properly

Not a good product to work with out of the packet. I ended up making a 3mm thick steel plate to sit on top to stop it from bending when tightened down otherwise it just leaks fluid, it's not something I should have had to do but I needed it to work. Best bleeder in the world !

Should fit most master cylinders, easy to fit, along with the Sealey VS820 bleed the brakes on my Toyota Vellfire in a few minutes.

Expensive and messy

A lot of money for what it is.
It's a bit flimsy so difficult to get a good seal, so it leaks fluid everywhere.
Plus, to remove, it guarantees fluid everywhere. Not great at all.
